We spoke with professional footballer Joseph Gyau about his career to date and what made him, him.

From his beginnings in Silver Spring, Maryland to going to IMG Academy to playing in Germany to now playing in the MLS, Joseph has had a lengthy career.

He told us about his journey in German football, playing for US Men's National, Jürgen Klopp, David Wagner, Jürgen Klinsmann, playing with Roberto Firmino, Łukasz Piszczek, Ryan Babel, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Shinji Kagawa, and Marco Reus.

We discussed the importance of his dad in his career, his love for Ghana, and some of the silliest things he's purchased. We also spoke about how racism is prevalent on and off the pitch.
